Keb Mo Greenville Concert reviews
Foreigner should have been the Headliner
Foreigner still rocked last night in Nashville, even without Mick Jones, the band's founding member.
The sound was almost angelic, very good and tight up there. They sounded very good.
The new cover band version of Foreigner totally rocked the house last night. They should have been the headlining act, from what I saw and gathered from others.
Their set had all heavy metal riffs and long, -no, loooooooooooooooooooooooooong screaming, wailing crazy guitar solos that I would not have been a fan of 30 yrs. ago. It was far from entertaining and/or interesting. Did they forget their target audience or what?
Sorry, but Keb Mo, the supposed "headliner," sucked! Many, many people were walking out 1/3 of the way through. Their lead singer tried (much too often) to put his own flavor and spin to songs that were popular before he was probably even born - hard to sing along with.
At one point, it sounded as though they (Keb Mo) were all playing a different song at the same time. It was loud, unpolished and not pretty. Even the singer was trying to sing over one of the guitar solos.
Hail to the drummer! The percussion was great though!
Night Ranger was cool for a short 30 min set. Ya, they were "motor-in" good stuff.
